We prefer that you pick up your tree in Skara. If you are unable to do so, we can ship it to you.
We only ship trees on Mondays so they don’t get stuck in a warm (or cold) terminal over the weekend.
We only ship at a suitable temperature. Indoor trees, minimum 10 degrees, and all trees maximum 22 degrees.
We recommend that you pick up your tree within a day of it reaching the pickup location.
The distance selling law does not apply to living trees, but we take responsibility for transport damage if you send a picture within a day of it arriving at the pickup location.
Have your camera ready while opening the box. A later picture, or a picture taken after the tree is completely unpacked, will not be accepted.
Please note that this guarantee is voluntary on our part and that we have a photo of what it looked like when it was packed.

Outdoor tree

Weather and wind
Azaleas like sun but should be protected from the hottest part of the day when in bonsai form. Flowers should be protected from rain and extreme sun to last longer. Azaleas do not like to stand in water but strongly dislike drying out, which can be devastating. Try watering with rainwater or filtered tap water. Hard water (high pH) is devastating. (I have tested it.)

During winter, I use an unheated greenhouse, where I then cover them with bubble wrap (loosely hanging on top). The greenhouse gets more stable temperatures through two 250-liter barrels of water and a leaf and grass compost that emits some heat even during the winter. Note that warm days during winter can quickly dry out your tree!

Fertilization
Give azaleas fertilizer throughout the entire growth period without flowering. Use special azalea fertilizer with urea that converts to acid after a while.

Pruning
Azaleas often promote the growth of low-lying branches in front of top growth. Therefore, prune a little harder on the lower branches.
