Japanese hand-forged bonsai scissors. Elegant scissors with a user-friendly handle. Suitable for general pruning of branches, etc. on smaller bonsai trees. Also works for cut flowers that are not too thick.
The scissors are hand-forged in carbon steel in the traditional Japanese way in Niigata, Japan. They provide clean cuts that heal more effectively because the scissors do not tear the surface, inviting fungal or viral attacks.
They have very good sharpness, but like all good tools, they need maintenance. Sap needs to be wiped off or sometimes washed off. Then it should be carefully dried and preferably lubricated with, for example, camellia oil for rust protection and lubrication of the scissors.
